Let the Bane jokes commence…
Too bad Bane isn’t on my Christmas list or I’d get him one.
Beginner 4,000 feet
Intermediate 8,000 feet
Experienced 12,000 feet
Expert 16,000 feet
Idiot 2 feet and a credit card
Now I know what to be for Halloween next year.
As someone who goes up and down between 1,000 feet and 8,100 feet monthly, this is interesting. It takes 3 weeks to full acclimate to elevation. I don’t get to spend a full month at elevation (until I retire) and this may help me adjust more easily.
It absolutely will not help with that. The science is in on these alleged high altitude training masks, they do not simulate high altitude and do not assist with acclimation in any way.
I’d you’d like to try for yourself, breath through a straw.
I know who my next cosplay is going to be!
Oh, you think the darkness is your ally, you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the light until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but blinding! The shadows betray you, because they belong to me.
That’s too funny!!!
Do you think you’re in charge
This is great except I enjoy swallowing june bugs on my runs to keep me full/energized.
Will this work for sub-zero temps, or just sub-zero costumes?
Just what I need for my dungeon!
Oh, you think high altitude is your ally, you merely adopted the high altitude. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t see the bottom of a mountain until I was already a man; by then, breathing meant nothing to me. The regular air betrays you, because the high altitude belongs to me.
I wonder how many people saying it doesn’t work, or linking to some very generic article that links to another generic and non-expert article…have actually used these?
They don’t simulate altitude as they claim, but they do restrict airflow, and using a straw as someone said is just dumb…you’d spit it out by instinct. This will help you reach a higher HR, and in turn, can help increase lung strength.
Yes, I have used one. No I do not own one. Still not a bad product, nor bad price. But working out is too easy to really need anything other than a desire to be healthier.
If I pull this off, will I die?
A leap of faith; how about a plastic bag over your head, may achieve similar results; poke holes to adjust air flow. Buy something else on Woot with the money you saved.
