Pretty bad reviews on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/AKG-K495NC-K-495NC-Noise-Cancelling-Headphones/dp/B009GWYV0S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478248005&sr=8-1&keywords=AKG+K-495NC+Noise-Cancelling+Headphones

With these being ‘on the ear’ vs. ‘over the ear’, I am going to pass. I don’t want the pressure on my ear for a 3 hour flight. That would not be comfortable for me.

No Bluetooth? What is this?

Not to say anything bad about these, specifically, but using proprietary batteries is frequently not a good choice. With both my Sony NC phones and my Bose NC phones, I carry and use rechargeable Eneloop AAA cells. Easy to find a triple a battery if you need another one, and no charging required, unless you use rechargeable of course.

I agree, there is no comparison when trying both types. The over ear is far preferable. Even if the batteries die, having over ear will give some measure of noise cancelling on their own.

I bought these over the summer. They are a little heavy, but the sound quality is the best I’ve heard. They are better than Bose and my music sounds completely new.
