Have two of these now and am very happy with them.

Two things to note:

Replacement filters cost $50 (Amazon) so if you replace them frequently that can get expensive.

And… power outages (or simply unplugging the unit) will reset the clean/replace filter timers. We have frequent outages so I don’t rely on the flashing lights to tell me when to clean/replace the filters.

How often do you have to replace them on average (understanding condition of air being cleaned to start with plays a role)? Like typical house with one pet.

It says that the byproduct of the Ion doo-hicky is water… does that mean that it has a water basin that needs to be emptied from time to time?
