I bought this two weeks ago. I was living alone and thought this would be good if I got hurt and could not get to the phone. I still have not been able to get it to work on one Echo but it works on my other 4 units. It was very hard to get connected even with help from Amazon. It was supposed to be a plug and play for Ooma users. It was far from that. I still have to call to get my last Echo working. I just don’t want to spend another hour on the phone to get something that should work automatically, working. Now for the sound, it is an echo chamber (all pun intended). For an emergency, excellent. For a normal conversation forget it. Not impressed but I am happy I got this for the safety reason. Alexa call 911 and help is on the way.
I use mine with the Ooma, I have no problem at all with the Show, 1st Gen Echo, Spot or Dot. Everything worked right away.
I have my Ooma connected to my original phone house wiring.
