Whoa I mean this is a crazy deal if I’m reading this correct. You can buy this for $30 and get 40% off?
That is crazy I don’t care if it’s scratched to all having that would be Sub 20.

I mean for what it’s worth I’ve had pretty good luck on this site buying scratching dent items. Like I got my Pixel 3 and my Note 9 scratch and dent and I didn’t notice any noticeable scratches and dents.
And since I’m not particularly concerned about aesthetics with these devices like I don’t really care if it’s all scratched up. Especially if you’re talking about a $30 tablet even before the 40% coupon
But I mean everyone’s experiences are different at that same Pixel 3 that I got was 87% battery health and looked flawless. But some people couldn’t get theirs to turn on in the comments so we’re all dealing with limited sample siz.
Yes.
The last time I bought a 2019 S&D here, the condition was pretty good. Used it for a few months and then the mothership had a trade-in offer, so I made money sending it back in + a 20% off a new 2023 which was on sale. ![]()

It does have a very limited app store. Some of them are just browser-based shortcuts. But you can absolutely side load the Google Play store entirely. It’s not hard you just have to go to developer settings allow stuff from unofficial sources and then you have to download for files in sequence.
I’m not super technically inclined but I did this 3 years ago and it’s worked flawlessly ever since even despite updates.
So you can actually download pretty much anything from the Play store including the proper Android versions of stuff.
The Amazon app store is very limited. It does have like Facebook and Spotify and Netflix, some of them are legit apps some of them are cloud apps and some of them are shortcuts to the silk browser.
But if you download The Play store you could literally download brave and Firefox with extensions like you block origin. You could conceivably even download revanced a new pipe and all that kind of stuff.
Yes I’ve had similar experience where I got a echo show one or something for 25 bucks here and then traded it in for even cost like 2 years later when I was sort of downsizing my tech
I also had really good luck with the scratch and dent Pixel 3 and Note 9 from back during the pandemic where I saw no visual scratches or dents at all.
There’s a pretty solid return policy so there’s not much to lose by trying. I already have a fire 10 with USB-C that I got for like 70 bucks when they came out. I’ve added the Play store and I feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth for. But with this 40% coupon you can get the 32 GB version for $19 and the 64 GB version for just $11 more.
That’s a really good deal. If I didn’t literally own the exact same product I would buy it as an impulse buy honestly just to. Fire tablets are very underpowered but 20 bucks? It makes a great remote control for any Android based TV for in. s a headphone jack so if you download Play store you could use it as an offline music player.
It has a 1080p screen so the PPI is not terrible.
There’s a cool website called Android Afterlife and it gives people ideas on how to like salvage older Android phon. This is technically running Android and it isn’t even EOL yet I’m pretty sure.
Some people that do an even more advanced like jailbreaking of it where they can actually get third party launchers to work and such. That’s one thing I’ve never done and another limitation is there’s no live wallpapers.
It’s not even like a terrible e-reader at that price or like give it to a kid.
Does “Scratch and Dent” include potential screen damage?
Hi there. Click here for our guide to the various conditions and their definitions.
It can but not that interferes with use.
it was available for me but only at the last stage of the checkout. process was a little different than I remember it I guess it’s been a while since I paid for something from here directly. but it took me to Amazon pay and then it offered me the coupon code and the 29.99 tablet became like $19.11
Came fast but condition not Refurbished - “Used Very Good”, some minor scratches on screen and plastic cracking on sides when pressing. but for 25 bucks I guess ok enough not to complain.
Google “Fire Toolbox” - from the XDA forums. It’s a Windows computer based app that you can use to jailbreak your Fire tablet. Remove bloatware, get rid of lockscreen ads, install Google services including the Android Play Store, change the home screen launcher, and basically convert a captive Amazon tablet into an almost stock Android tablet. I saw a comment suggesting it wasn’t possible on the 11th generation 2021 Fire HD 10 and to “show me”. Well, I’ve done it successfully and bought a second Fire tablet knowing I have pretty much unlimited ability to customize it to my preferences.
FYI - Received my “Grade A - Refurbished” today. It looks new to me. No marks or scuffs whatsoever.
Just ran through the setup process and we’re good to go.
Received mine yesterday, not “Grade A - Refurbished” as it stated, but instead just “Acceptable” and looked to already be open. Blemishes across the device, and a crack near the USB-C port. Lo and behold, it doesn’t take a charge at all. Needless to say it will be getting returned.
Yeah I got a grade A one of these - it’s trashed, frankly. Tons of scratches on the screen, a crack even in the corner, a very obnoxious visible light spot on the screen, and scratches all on the border of the device. This is going back.
Anyone else tablet delayed in shipping?
It’s the holiday season; I’ve had multiple packages (from both here and other sites) delayed. No panic, though; it’s still early in the month.
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
I live across the country from you and I’ve got several delayed packages as well. 'Tis the season.
I received my Grade C tablet (and many other Woot! Off items) day(s) before even getting a shipped/tracking# e-mail so I had to check front door and inconspicuous areas periodically for surprise packages before someone on the street takes them.
Box says “UsedSatisfactory”. Battery was at 61% and (under Settings) the last full charge was 180 days ago. System date/time was correct except for time zone.
Tablet has scratches all over the screen and plastic body (heavier ones are visible with a bright screen), the body also has plenty of scrub marks so it was clearly not protected with a case or screen protector in its past life. Gap between screen and body has (I’m guessing) embedded dust and caked food+grime+skin+sweat residue. The body and gap creaks (tablet has seen much stress, weakening the adhesive strips) and I can probably pry the back out with my fingernails, which is true for some of my other used Fire tablets. None of which matters much for such an old inexpensive tablet and I saved $6 for not choosing Grade A. I have 2 other Fire HD 10 after all (one bought new in 2021).
There are plenty of guides on how to add Google Play Store on this tablet. A tool called Fire Toolbox (FTB) can automate that plus a lot more functionality (disable lockscreen ads and firmware auto-update, allow custom launcher, etc). It used to be that Fire HD 10 2021 (and other 2018-2021 Fire tablets) with firmware 7.3.2.2+ (released around November 2021, so most used tablet will have it installed) have restricted functionality (as listed above) under FTB. Users had to run an ancient pre-7.3.2.1 FireOS for full FTB functionality. But a recent FireOS exploit allows FTB v42.0 (released in Sept 2025) to circumvent that so we can now run the latest FireOS (from 2024) + full FTB.
Not “Grade A”!
I ordered 2x Grade A condition, but both clearly say “UsedGood” condition on the box label.
The first one I opened had a crack in the plastic case beside the USB port, and finish peeling off the MicroSD cover.
