Messy setup. I missed adding the remote (absolutely not obvious, it says all over “add free remote!”, but doesn’t say how, and it was in the same TV dropdown), ordered just the 55’’ TV, then realized that I needed the remote, called to cancel the 55’’ TV so I could reorder - LOL, right. Now Woot! thinks I already ordered one TV, and the deal is so goood that nobody gets to order more than one. And now 55’’ screen is sold out.
I mean, at least the comments should’ve been open during the order process, and they are available just now, 5 days later. Or, gosh, I don’t know, have a check - you are ordering this TV w/o remote, are you sure, because here is how to order a remote!

So I guess I either was 1 of 7 customers who ordered a TV without the remote, or this deal was confusing AF.

Yeah, I’m sorry. Our system isn’t built to automatically bundle something so we have to play weird games like that.

So I have to ask? New York and Washington state are excluded. Why exactly? I get it when it’s Alaska and Hawaii, due to distance and shipping. But New York? Washington state?

In recent years, US state governments (including New York and Washington) have enacted or increased restrictions on the use of organohalogen flame retardants in certain electronics, which are commonly used in to meet fire safety goals. Amazon Devices is committed to ensuring that our products comply with these laws on flame retardants while continuing to meet relevant safety standards.

Cancelling the order was silly, anyway, I bought a smaller TV since it’s for my bedroom and I did add the free remote. Remote arrived first and I giddily took it out of the box and put the batteries in it, just to be “prepared”. Then the TV came. Guess what! There’s a remote in the box. So now I have two remotes. Shoulda kept the order, @frombyu.

Anyone else starting to wonder about ship times? Something tells me my order isn’t getting delivered tomorrow (given that it hasn’t shipped)

My friend Charles said the exact same thing but he already had a remote from one of those cubes that broke just after about a year and a half. Around the same time my Amazon cube broke so I ordered a fire stick and I also have two extra remotes now, And my puppy keeps grabbing it and running off with it and chewing on it!

@Tom84
Maybe it was silly, but Woot assured me I would be able to reorder again after cancelling. Wrong.
Woot also ignored my follow-up emails, which I didn’t like at all, but hey, sometimes there are signs the life gives that some thing that just aren’t meant, I guess.
Maybe it actually was for the better, because my other Fire TV turns off by itself after 1 hr of watching network video. I researched it and there are 2 way to fix, one with installing an app that would mimic some activity, and the other was from within Settings, and I thought I fixed it, but now I remember and I think that Setting needs to be re-applied every time after TV software update.

  1. Email responses can take 24-48 hours.
  2. Sending multiple emails creates a bigger backlog, and can get your tickets put at risk of being closed as duplicates.

Hi there. It’s shipped from/by Amazon so we’re at their mercy. At this time, there’s no errors so they do plan to fulfill it.

I’ll be honest, I really wasn’t concerned that I wasn’t going to get it until you put it that way :sweat_smile:

Tv came without the power cord and legs which wasn’t a big deal, I used the cord from my other fire tv and used a stand that I had. The remote turned the tv on and let me select the language but that was it, it wouldn’t pair with the tv. I called customer service and they were out of 55” tv’s so back it goes. First time I ever had a refurbished electronic device come without parts and not work, disappointed in woot.
