I’ve tried everything, including deleting the app and re-installing.
Hi there. Could you go to your account on the app and look at your orders or something so it gets you to log in. Once that’s done, THEN try to go to the forums. You may have to login again the first time.
The forums are by a 3rd party. The woot site passes your login info to the forums where your account is created there.
I get this no matter what I try in the iOS app every time the “sign in with Amazon” button is pressed.
Given that there is no mention of this in the Privacy Policies of either the site or the app, this would have serious legal implications, unless you are calling the mothership a “third party” (even that would probably violate California law).
In this case, the 3rd Party is Discourse.
Yeah, I can’t tell where you’re getting the login screen from though. I want to make sure you log into the woot site first.
Another thing to try is to log out of both amazon and woot then try again.

Discourse gets no customer data. Login happens through Amazon’s authentication widgets that are used on many retail sites.
The only foolproof way I’ve found to log out is to delete/reinstall. I’ll try that one more time
Yeah, that was an oops with the app. Make sure to log out of amazon too.

Heh, glad it worked. Sometimes they get out of sync, especially if you change something on the Amazon side.
