And…received a deactivated one. Amazon customer support tells me to contact Woot to get a refund.
So…Amazon provides deactivated devices to Woot to sell, which Amazon then tells the customer to turn around and return to Woot. Woot now says in my account that the return window is closed for self-return (even though delivered today), requiring (surprise) an email to customer support to request a return and refund for the defective product.
What an “interesting” business model. Anger the customer to stop purchasing from Woot?
