Remember when woot off meant a MUCH BETTER price and NJ other the daily or regular woot off price? This is the same price as the USB monitor was offered for through regular woot. How disappointing!

These monitors aren’t bad but they operate through USB so they’re total memory hogs. Also, they won’t work with a Raspberry Pi so don’t bother if you’re thinking it’ll be a good match. They use incompatible drivers and this needs a lot of power from the USB.

Thanks for the info. The only use I could think of for a small, USB-powered monitor was hooking up to a Pi. I can’t believe they didn’t put an HDMI port on it!

I’ve gotten several of the previous models from AOC, both reconditioned from Woot and from the mothership, for our accountants to take out to client sites. They used to lug a standard 17" monitor along with their laptops so that they could have a second screen to use. The nice thing about these 16" portable monitors is that they fit in the same laptop bags that we’re already using.

The brightness level & viewing angle on the ones we’ve gotten so far haven’t been great, and they pick up fingerprints something awful, but they’re cheap, lightweight, and very portable. For our purposes, they’re fine.
