Does anyone know who did the refurbishing? A 90 day limited Woot warranty implies that it was not Apple.
Scratch & Dent？So there’s damage on the surface and screen?
To varying degrees. Nothing soooo bad its unusable, though.
can I understand it as it’s almost new after Apple fixed its scratchand dent issues?
Nope. We don’t state that Apple did the refurbishing. It’s still a scratch and dent model.
Does it support China Mobile 4G LTE or China Unicom 4G?
I’m not sure about it.
Per the Features:
Important Note: These phones have been unlocked for any GSM service worldwide, please set the APN settings of your specific carrier for optimal use. If you do not know how, contact your service provider and they will walk you through it.
Thanks for your patience!
May I know its model number, like A1530?
Does it have a new battery?
This phone is better in every conceivable way, and for $25 you get 1yr warranty that also covers accidental damage. Same price:
I broke my brand new phone from Verizon. My daughter went to Gazelle’s website, bought me this phone in close to near new shape 9 mo ago for this price. It works fine and I use it often.
I got rid of my Samsung Galaxy S-4 and bought one of these. While I think the Samsung has many more features and is a better phone, I wanted something smaller, that will fit in my shirt pocket without ripping the shirt off my back. I needed a better camera, and I know this will sound really lame, I use my iPhone to make phone calls and to send texts. And it does these things just fine.
By the way, Gazelle (mentioned in the previous post) is a great web-based resource for getting rid of your old cell phone.
Does “Unlocked” mean I can use this on the Verizon Network?
No. It’s unlocked for a GSM network (ATT or T-mobile) In the U.S., Sprint, Verizon and U.S. Cellular use CDMA. AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM.
Hardly a pillar of confidence about the condition. My shattered screen iPhone was still usable - especially after I wrapped it in Saran Wrap. But it looked like a mess. And we have an older iPod Touch whose screen is not shattered but has a crack - it works fine. Again, not pretty.
What are the return parameters if the condition is too poor to reasonably tolerate?
NO because it is GSM and Verizon is CDMA
I would like to know return policy in detail since woot is so vague about the screen condition.
@gak0090, that ASUS Zen Laser 2 phone does have very slick specs in just about every area. Quite surprising at that price. Do you have it and is it just as great in real world use?
Aside: not really directly comparable to this iPhone 5s phone tho. 5.5 inch vs this 4 inch – too big for one handing for a lot of folks. And that one is Android vs this Apple iOS – not that easy for non-geeks to switch back and forth.
Bonus feature only found on European spec phones (which that ASUS must be): dual SIM slots. So you can load it with your personal SIM and the office SIM. Carry only one phone. And it uses a Micro SIM rather than a Nano SIM. Handy or a problem if you like to swap phones frequently depending on the SIM size of your other phone(s).
