I’m going to have to say that Apple didn’t find this market quite as large as they thought it was going to be. Ah well, there’s still time.

Reviews over at Best Buy

if you happen to have a microcenter nearby, the apple watches are cheaper new ($250) than these refurbs. Not that many microcenters around though

got mine at microcenter with the newer band and got this style band. The woven nylon bands are so much better. The rubber ones make your wrist not breath and it just isn’t comfortable. The newer bands too are alot more even on ebay so I suggest going with the woven nylon if you can.

I love my Apple iWatch and when I forget to put it on, that day I am lost without it.
It just works.
I don’t even use near most of the features it has buried inside.

I’ve wanted one of these since they came out, but been waiting til they got to the $80 range I think an electronic watch from a name brand company probably ought to go for.

But so far, that’s just me dreaming I guess. So, I’m tempted by this one, but when I click on the warranty that says “90 day Apple” at the bottom, it takes me to the “one year” page at apple. So, is it really 90 days, or 1 year?

It’s OK - got mine as a gift, not sure I’d spend my own $$$ for it though at this price maybe.

It’s basically a window on your wrist to what’s going on on your phone.

Battery life is barely a day, and a hassle if you travel a lot like I do - means you have to buy and bring a separate cord for charging.

Mediocre sports tracking - I miss my FitBit (especially sleep tracking)

Does this come with an iPhone?

Thanks, just located a micro center close to my home. Same watch $250.00/new/full yr warranty.

This might sound like a stupid question, but these require an iPhone to function properly, correct?

IOW, basically useless by itself or for users of non-iPhones.

This is correct, you need the iWatch app on your phone.

buy your watch and watch it become unusable in a few years when Apple changes the Bluetooth protocol on their new phones. Then you will need a new watch

Judging by the description this is the sport edition. There is a difference between the Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch, and Watch Edition.

This one is the anodized body with Ion-X Glass. This is not the sapphire glass/stainless model. Otherwise the guts are about the same.

Yeah, I was just checking into that. Kinda shady for Woot not to list this as the Apple Watch Sport. Microcenter has these brand new for $200 in store and some folks (not me unfortunately) have been successful at getting Best Buy to price match.

EDIT: I’m dumb, that’s for the 38mm version. The 42mm is $250. Still a better deal though.

Check when you go to the store as they mailed out a $50 coupon that I just received in the mail today. It’s good on anything in the store so you can drop the price to $200.

Their website has it listed for $199.99. Might want to go back and get a price match.

EDIT: I’m dumb. That’s for the 38mm, the 42mm is $250.

The only difference is the glass, that I did extensive reading reviews on, and bottom line is they all scratch when one hits the glass on the right object.
So what I did was purchase a phantom skin and applied that to the glass of my sport 42mm and 6 months later the skin is the same as it was applied.
note: very difficult to apply the skin and took a good hour+, just the glass, I gave up on the body protector and purchased a black slight rubbery protector.

Best watch I have ever had, very useful.

No this is not the $100 or less watch at all, but when the time comes to replace it, I know I have used it for the money I spent on it and will not hesitate to buy a successor when I need to.

I know more people who has stop wearing this than those actually wearing one. Wait for later versions.
