Can you even update this iPad to an IOS version close to today? After so many years they can’t be updated and you can’t install apps
I’m not a fan of apple, but I have a major trip planned for next year and I was considering getting the cheapest apple device I could find just to be able to activate and track some airtags for my luggage. Airtags seem to be leaps ahead of the next closest tag tracker competition, which appears to be tile.
Can anyone who knows more about apple tell me what the likelihood is of this device being locked out of the airtag app/system/whatever within the next year?
@bigpolar70 - If you ever expect to purchase an Apple Watch, get an iphone even somewhat lower end. An iPhone is required to activate and initially program an Apple Watch. An iPAD will not work for that added purpose. Perhaps I should have known, but not having one initially, my watch from Woot sat for a year unusable due to no other way to activate. Apple Watches serve as an entry drug to the ecosystem!
