Are they refurbished at a certain grade?

No grade given. “Refurbished” covers everything from buyers’ remorse returns and products whose defects have been repaired by the pros to damaged packaging and discontinued items. If you can accept their checkered past, refurbs have a lot of love to give.

These are on sale at Walmart for $160 new - for $20 I’d definitely opt for new.

“Charger might not be OEM” - means 3rd party refurb. RUN. Just got a few Apple Watches that I am assuming (dangerous, I know) are from the same vendor. They are HORRIBLE. Gouged all to hell. If they can’t manage to refurb a watch, they def cannot refurb headphones. Buy new.
Correct, 1st gen with normal wireless (non-magsafe) charging case.
