Thoughts about the orientation of the holder - there are two common orientations…
The Apple-style, where the holder puts the AirTag in parallel orientation to its ring.
And the Belkin-style, where the holder puts the AirTag perpendicular to its ring.
So if you wish to put your keys directly on the AirTag holder ring, your keys will be oriented perpendicular on the Apple-style holder. A bit awkward unless you wish to use the holder as a way to grab the keys.
However, if you wish to keep your keys on their existing ring and hang this ring on your existing ring, then then AirTag will be oriented parallel to your keys.
The Belkin-style holder treats the AirTag more like another key, aligned parallel to those keys.
Both styles have their advantages.
