Be careful with the term open box here, sometime you will pay for a garbage item. You disappointed me this time WOOT.
I placed an order of iPhone 11 S&D from Woot last month I I did received the item in open box and with scratch & dent but I hoped it will work properly.
Phone is reset and activate successful, Most of function works fine except, it didn’t recognize what ever Sim , even I could not set up any esim too. I filled a lot of support requests to apple site and all solutions from them or advices from other source like YouTube is no help. So I took last option recommended by Apple to go to Apple authorized repair shop. First check from Apple shop showed this iPhone was opened/ not in original state already and they advise me to return to seller to solve the issue.
I decided not to contact with Woot and bring it directly to one of my trusted repair shop, run by my nephew to check for issue , and once they opened it, it is clearly that this iPhone sold by Woot is not only S&D but , pre-damaged, pre-opened, and repaired unsuccessful , which is the main cause to deny whatever Sim . This is a full cheating that I never expect from Woot as a subsidiary of Amazon.
I think with trading of used stuff it is better to come back to eBay with Paypal where we trade direct with seller, and if we fell cheated , we could provide evident of scams and get back money right from Paypal.
Sorry Woot, I would not buy any open S&D from you again.

Why? There was a 30 day warranty.

I placed the order on Feb 19, my forwarder received package on Mar 8 and I had to wait another 2 weeks until I actual received it on Mar 23 with forwarder shipping cost $80.00. I also need a whole weeks waiting for solution from Apple. So should I try to contact Woot to send it back after 40 days?

I means Woot did intentionally by providing wrongful information to buyer. This should not be Open Box with S&D but it must say “USED” at least. and Woot should test if it works properly before listing it for sell.
I don’t care much it is an used one but this is absolutely a faulty item sold buy a scam provider to Woot . and Woot must have responsibility on this for selling a bad item to its buyer.
Thank you for your comment, As I said in above quote, I am out of 30 days warranty and send it back to Woot is not a good option as shipping cost and international return shipping procedure at my place.
The phone is fixed now with some extra cost. I prefer to bear that extra instead of paying for return post cost and troublesome custom declaration paper works.
I keep here my order details, my tracking details from WOOT until my house, and of course have evidences of this iPhone11 is pre-repared but uncomplete, still in missing parts and that make it cannot works with any Carrier.
Woot should recheck with your provider.
