Well, 141 orders in and no need for Customer Service… Until today!
Unfortunately I got to speak to a nice Indian gentleman in India (I presume) looking to get a replacement for the refurbished iPhone 8+ w/256Gb in Space Grey that arrived with a dead battery and the inability to acknowledge the charger provided or two others I have making this either a nearly $300 worlds smallest doorstop or brick.
Calling Customer Service got me NOTHING except the PROMISE of service to come since he was feckless to do ANYTHING except talk to me. And while the mothership (Amazon) has these phones in stock ready-to-ship, he was not authorized to do anything but have me repeat every aspect of my account, sex life and any predilections despite having provided all this using the APP prior to to gift of his wasting both his and my time on this green earth. Being in Field Service that has me on-call 24/7/365, I find their incantation of “Customer Service” nothing more than promissory and insulting!
Requesting a Supervisor to escalate this issue to SOMETHING resembling Customer Service proved to be as feckless as any other option given.
So folks, keep this in mind when you spend your hard-earned dollars to make a purchase from Woot! and consider spending them elsewhere where you might get just a modicum of respect, I know I probably won’t be placing order #142 in the near future, if at all… and going with the mothership these days you’ll most likely end up at a “Marketplace” vendor that is no longer held to the former standards that the A-Z Guaranty USED to ensure.
GOOD LUCK ALL!
