Thank you! kept me from wasting/splurging unnecessarily. I currently have the model without the built-in hard drive…. I believe it was the last one they made,. Do you know what they’re gonna move to instead of Time Machine?

If I had to guess, they’ll want everyone to move to iCloud for an ongoing revenue stream.

I have an Acasis USB4/Thunderbolt drive with a WD 2TB NVME SSD on my Mac Mini. Both it and my MBA back up to it daily. Cost about $200 and is blazing fast.
