For those who might be wondering, the MGEM2LL is a Late 2014 model and can even run up to MacOS 12.x, Monterey. With the 8GB of RAM, it should run fairly well. Not so sure about the price point. It seems a little high for a 1.4GHz Core-i5. It does have a 500 GB mechanical HDD but it can have a NVMe M.2 added as a second drive. Move to OS over to that and it runs much better.
