I have the 2012, 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, and is actually faster than this. I bought a M1 Macbook Air and it blows it away.
Unless the ports are all you really care about, get the M1 MacMini for $210 more.
Be warned: “You will note that Apple will provide service and parts for up to five years after the end of the production run. So, for your 2014 mini , as mentioned in item 1, that run ended in October 2018.
