This is a remarkably bad deal
The biggest problem isn’t simply that it’s old. You’re paying $100 for a 2015 device at exactly the moment Apple is expected to introduce a substantially more capable Apple TV.That’s an 11-year-old streaming box in 2026 and the remote is not even included, you have to pay extra for that. The $99.99 price is the real problem. If this were $25–$40, I’d look at it differently.This particular $99.99 listing is a hard PASS. the price is completely wrong for the age and capability, and the timing is terrible.
You’re looking at an 11-year-old 1080p device with an A8 processor and no remote, while Apple is apparently preparing a new Apple TV generation for fall 2026. My price ceiling:$40 maximum, preferably $30–35, WITH a working remote.At $99.99 without a remote: 1/10 value.I would wait
I can’t believe these sold out. This is the absolute worst deal I’ve seen here in a long time.

i would still wait for the announcement of the new Apple TV coming this fall, these older models will not have the capabilities of the new device if that is important to you.
The new device will cost more$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, though, at least $249+
