Is the 1 year woot warranty actually a 3rd party who may or may not honor it- it says it’s all at their discretion

Fair question and having ordered one of the Woot Series 7’s for my spouse, I too am curious.
However, I will hold Woot Customer Service to the following product page promise - no scape-goating a 3rd party:
Warranty: 1 Year Woot Limited Warranty
(Always print/screencapture the product page documentation, at least of material $ items purchased online. Has saved us many times. BTW, we have always found Woot Customer Service to be solidly responsive.)
