AR Blue Clean Pressure Washer

So, a 34.5” GFCI protected power cord, CSA approved is sufficient length? A 34.5 inch power cord?

Yes, I know they correct themselves under the Technical Specifications section.

Don’t waste your money on electric pressure washers. I own a Pressure washing company and these things send me so much business its crazy (people get frustrated and call me). If you need to clean your driveway, walkway or siding this will be such a headache, it would be better to call a professional. 1.35 GPA is quite low and will be inadequate for any type gum/mildew removal. I wouldn’t waste your money on this thing!

Judging from some of the lower ratings on amazon.com I will head your warnings. Besides electricity, water and a cheaply made machine really doesn’t give me the warm fuzzies.

I was looking on amazon at another unit by the same company, reviews were less than impressive, mostly with the build quality and others with motor function or disfunction rather. Almost bought it but shotty construction complaints on amazon reviews have veered me away, looks like I will be fixing my father-in-law’s gas powered unit afterall.

thanks but no thanks.

I’ve had an AR Blue 383 for the last three years, and it runs like a top. I have no problem blasting mildew and bird poop off my deck or driveway, it makes my siding look brand new, and it’ll peel the clearcoat off your car if you’re not careful. Granted, it’s a little more powerful than the one offered by Woot, but the construction is top notch. No leaks, no lack of pressure, and it’s relatively maintenance free.

I’ve used it with a heavy duty extension cord, and it’s never tripped the GFCI.

Per the NEC limits for common cords, 13 amps corresponds to AWG 16. AWG 14 will get you up to 18 amps. And AWG 12 is good for 25 amps.

Using a too-long/thin extension cord wouldn’t trip the GFCI. The fuse/circuit breaker would/should be what goes.

Well, I figure for $69 with a 1 year warranty, it was worth it. My dad has a gas honda that I have used after he broke my 1800 psi electric one about 6 years ago.

What did me in was two things. I think the attachments you get for the price. Also, I am thinking this is low enough power to let me teenagers use on the woodwork and fence around my house with limited supervision so the time factor isn’t an issue for me.

The post about the chemicals is key. What has worked for me is to soak my patio and able areas with with oxyclean first. Then use this.

The problem with gas in my opinion is noise, reliability and storage. Over time, even my dad’s honda is wearing down. I have found electrics to be more reliable because there are less moving parts. Realistically you have two fault areas, that being the circuit board and the bearings.

But again at $69, this is a steal. Just don’t think you are getting a $400 pressure washer.

PS: For winter storage, run anti-freeze through this and you are good to go.

PS#2: uSE THE COUPON CODE TENFTEN, and you can get the square trade warranty for less than $10.

Edit: I ended up using my AMEX which doubles the warranty to 2 years. That is not bad at all.

Grrr… computer was acting up, so I had to restart it. By the time I got back to the site the dang thing SOLD OUT!!!

So 14 gauge is the way to go then.

does anyone know if the breaker is easily turned back on? or is it an actual fuse?

I have some heavier gauge cord that I will use, but not sure what the gauge is. If I had to guess, it is 14.

Been waiting for a pressure washer. Sold out when i hit the add to cart button. Boooooo.

I wouldn’t worry too much about these numbers. On the AR product page
http://www.arnorthamerica.com/residentialpw.html it says it’s 1.58gpm but when you click on the manual link underneath, it says 1.35pgm.

Note Home Depot advertises the 142P model. Both manuals state it’s 1.35:

wow, and I JUST bought one a few minutes ago. I think this is the closest I’ve ever been to being the “wooter to blame” (well, except for during a B**OC frenzy, of course).

Wish I had known about the TAXSUCKS before using my jumbo coupon :frowning:

Aw dude, I tuned in too late. I had one of these that I lent to a relative, who promptly lost a brass fitting, rendering it unusable. Maybe next wootoff…

Whaaa, it’s $70 folks! No, it’s not going to do the job of a $300 - $400 unit, but will do the job of a $140 unit. Oh, wait that is what all other retailers are selling it for! The attachments alone are close to this price. Glad I bought early, knew it was going to sell out.

Of course the guy who owns a pressure washing business will say its junk. These things are a negative impact on his business. I borrowed this same unit from my brother in law and cleaned my deck nicely as well as my vinyl siding. Sure… A gas unit is stronger, will do the job quicker, and has more reach, but for someone who doesn’t need a power washer often and also someone who doesn’t want to spend 400+ dollars, this deal is a steal. I never considered buying one since I could drive 30 mins and borrow my bro I. Law’s, but this deal was too good to pass up.

I own a corvette. Yes it’s a matchbox sided car and my son plays with it, but it serves it’s function even though it’s not as big and powerful as the one that runs on gas. Elements of scale my friends. A good price for a decent product. Avoid the professional power washer who rip you off. This unit will pay for itself in one use.

brass fittings are usually easily replaceable. if you can’t figure out the size/pitch of the threads take it to an industrial supply company nearby and they should be able to tell you.

When I saw this hit the front page of Slickdeals I knew it would sell out. Glad I got in early, been looking for a small pressure washer for my new deck. This fits the bill nicely!
