Arcade1Up Street Fighter II Deluxe Arcade Machine

My shipment arrived today. And unfortunately, it’s a Gen 1 Street Fighter II Legacy cab, not the the Gen 3 Deluxe cab I ordered. Hopefully Woot can get a replacement going for me quickly and others don’t suffer the same fate…

@ThunderThighs adding TT for visibility. Saw on a forum on another site that the same thing is happening with the Mortal Kombat deluxe cab as well. Could be a lot of us in this boat, looks like Woot is shipping old Arcade1up’s in place of these new ones advertised for sale, which could end up in a lot of returns. Hopefully they can figure it out and start sending out responses to CS requests on this one. Haven’t heard anything back on my CS request from yesterday yet.

Yep. Got mine today, too, and it’s the wrong one. This was clearly an online description eff-up… Facebook and Reddit are already lighting up with the problem. Not good. Woot needs to start issuing refunds FAST.

Out of curiosity, what’s the difference between the Deluxe and Legacy cabinets?

Well, take a look at the images above and you’ll see a few… the cabinet shape is entirely different, for starters. The Deluxe is much more like the authentic cabinet shape, and is taller (and doesn’t require a riser like the Legacy). The Deluxe also has a faux coin door (not just printed), a lit marquee, etc. It’s just a much better product, all around.

Also. The legacy cabinets have a lower quality monitor that washes out at angles and the blacks don’t get black as they should.

Actually, these legacies are fine (monitor-wise). It was the MK30th, Pacmania, and Dig Dug that had the bad TN monitors with all the washout.

I stand corrected. There is an issue that the marquee blocks the view for tall people. And MK version has a game missing.

Yeah, the angle isn’t good… I had this model and parted with it long ago. But aside from the viewing angle problem, it also suffered from sides that dug into your hands after playing for a while. You can lift the deck slightly by adding spacers, but it’s just not a great design from the get-go. The Yoga Flame and then eventually the Deluxe cab we’re talking about here were big improvements.

Same - received Legacy version. They are offering 3 options: 1) return it (free return shipment label) 2) replacement - but really this is #1 because they said there is no guarantee of availability from the manufacturer 3) keep it and get a $70 refund

UPDATE

Hi all. We’re aware that the wrong unit was shipped. You should hear something from CS early next week. Or you can reach out to them directly.

Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.

Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.

Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

Self-Return: Items without Li-Ion batteries can be self-returned within 30 days. Go to your Order Details to get started. The return label will be emailed from UPS.

Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.

I haven’t received mine yet, wondering if I should cancel? Are the same games in the description on the product that is shipped?

I realize the cabinet is different, but I am 6’2 and I see that the one that is being shipped is smaller?

I think I’ll take the partial refund.

If you haven’t received it, cancel. If you have, don’t take the offer… this unit is worth $250, max (it’s two generations old and has a number of issues). Your best bet is a full refund or a replacement if they have it.
