An Archos “Media Player” was the first thing I even bought on woot (12/06) and it was absolutely terrible (granted, it was 2006). But this one looks far more promising…tempting to give it another shot.

What’s the deal with the 3G? Which carrier can you go with?

Amazon reviews are mediocre (5 reviews averaging 2.5 stars) Overall people are saying it’s decent for the price, but it’s no iPad. Nowadays you can get a used iPad 1st 16GB for $350 anywhere used online, I’d have to recommend that, even if it is used and $70 more.

You can go with any carrier, you just have to register the device with them so that they can charge you for the 3G
