I love analog clocks! Without that soothing “tiktok” sound, digital clocks just do not have the same appeal to me :smiling_imp:

I scrolled Tik Tok for 10 minutes and lost 10 IQ points! No thank you!

Of clever creations, not of TikTok itself.

In fact, I have never used or touched TikTok in any way–not even sure what the software looks like–but I have seen and enjoyed a few “YouTube reposts” compiling some good TikTok videos. Thanks to the time and effort it takes to transfer videos from one platform to another, “YouTube reposts” effectively filter out most of the worst mind-numbing TikTok videos.

I guess you can say I’ve TikTok’d without TikTok.

Platform-wise, I’m agnostic, as long as it’s good content.

TikTok’s algorithm is one of the best out there. Once you use it a bit it learns what type of content you like and serves that up to you.

People think TikTok is just a bunch of generation z doing stupid stuff and dances but there is content for every topic. I follow DIY, home renovation experts, chefs, etc. Tom Silva is on TikTok!

Should have scrolled longer. I learned how to cut different woodworking joints on TikTok. I found a delicious guac recipe, learned better ways to cook a steak and even got more comfortable working in my electrical panel because of it.

It isn’t all stupid pranks and dances.

Exactly… I had no idea why I was there for the first day, then all of a sudden, content I love started popping in. I used to make videos on a daily basis, but now it’s only when the mood REALLY strikes (MAYBE once every couple months).

I don’t use tiktok ON tiktok, but the amount of DIY and how-to videos, as well as ADHD mini coping strategy and lifehack tips on there that get shared elsewhere are amazing.

Plus, I mean, sea shanties.

Each time I listen to the grandfather clock in my living room and the chimes it plays, it makes me appreciate the fact that I can tell time without having to look at glowing numbers. Plus the sound is soothing when I am ready for a quick siesta

TikTok is limited to 1 minute… which lets you skip all of the “let me tell you my life story for instructions that will take 30 seconds”. Kinda handy!

(Though I will admit, YouTube’s search function is much more useful.)

I wish I could do that to every recipe website… ever.

Use ctrl+F and type one of the ingredients into the search bar, it should immediately jump to those words, then you can skip a couple times to hit the recipe.

on the tiktok question. tiktok was designed for squirrels on cocaine.

I like the slow and steady “tik…, tok…,” on my woot clock when I’m trying to sleep. I’ve learned to let the repetitive sound count me down to blissful dreams.

I browse sometimes to see what the Challenges are so I can warn other parents.
I didn’t go there for this- I have noticed a lot porn on Tiktok and acts.
I wanted to see a dance instructor and see what she had to offer and it was porn.
