4/5 Eggs over at Newegg

FYI, End of life for Comcast is in effect for this modem.

Anyone with Cox have experience with this? Looking to upgrade.

does anyone know if this works for time warner in nyc? i’m currently on the 200 mbps down plan

I dont think that is true. This device is listed as NOT in their end of life program.

Apparently, according to Comcast it is Schrödinger’s cable modem. It is both EOL:

and not EOL:

Apparently, the “Retail” version is not EOL, but the non-retail is EOL. So, I think that means they won’t be renting them anymore (but, of course, if you are currently renting one they will kindly take your $10/month until it’s life actually ends).

I’ve used the 6121 and 6141 with Cox without any issue.

I live in a rural area of AZ. My local cable company is going to be upgrading from 100 mbps service to gigabit service later this year.

Will this modem work with gigabit service?

You’ll not be able to utilize all of your super fast 200 Mbps package, as this modem only supports download speeds up to 172 Mbps.

Yes it should!
