Walmarter’s give it 4.6 Stars

Cable schmable - is this something you can use with fios?

Bought this model used from my buddy last week for $50. It’s very fast and a definite upgrade to the Netgear combo I had from walmart that cost $89.

Can you hook a phone up to this?

Bought one during last WootOff, so far, so good.

No.

FWIW, I bought one of the non-routing versions of this and have been pretty happy with it. That said, I was checking this out because I want to replace my Airport Extremes with a more configurable setup (like QoS to support my Ooma VoIP home phone) and came across this article below. Anyone who wants more than a basic home network should read this. If you don’t know enough about networking to understand the article, then you’re probably fine with this modem/router combo. But if you want to tweak your network, I’d move on and look elsewhere…

I have Verizon Fios. Are you saying I cannot use this modem? If so, could you please cancel my order?

I replied to your PM, but you’ll need to email CS at support@woot.com. We’re not CS here in the forums.

SO basically for 90% of the households and Woot members looking at buying this modem it will work just fine. For the few “geeks” who like to tweak everything they touch, they should continue to use multiple devices to satisfy their need to tweak and be 100% in control of how their network components work.
