Any thoughts on using this for an acoustic guitar room (as opposed to using individual case humidifiers for each instrument)?

It doesn’t have an auto shut-off feature, so you can’t maintain the 49-51% humidity that acoustic instruments need. You’ll just need to keep you eye on the relative humidity of the room to make sure it doesn’t get too humid.
Just received mine and it was nonworking out-of-the-box. Have asked for return authorization.
I also received mine yesterday and plugged it in and ran it overnight. Woke up to find no water had been used whatsoever so mine is also not working, out of the box.

Same here. It worked for one day and then hasn’t worked since then. I can’t figure out what is wrong. I just put in a return request as well.
