ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Dolby Gaming Headset - Xbox One & PC

ASTRO Gaming A50 Wireless Dolby Gaming Headset - Xbox One & PC

Just a thought for anybody looking at this, the 5ghz is the prime (pun intended) feature here. Most headsets are 2.4 ghz. If you are using these in an area where there are a lot of people using wireless headsets, bluetooth devices, etc this won’t be as prone to interference.

To clarify, there are way less channels to communicate on in the 2.4 ghz range, and all bluetooth and most wireless headsets use the 2.4 ghz range, so you are way less likely to run into interference with this headset than a different headset.

Tradeoff here 5 ghz does not penetrate walls as well as 2.4 ghz.
Also, I think the new versions of this headset use 2.4, so if you are buying to get the 5ghz do your homework

IS this the latest version of the headset?

Hi there. Looks to be the previous version.

Any idea what the benefits of new version are over this one?

No. Didn’t even know there was a new version. :woman_shrugging:
