i was thinking about it until i saw that the os is similar to windows 8. windows 8 sucks! i bought a laptop from woot with w-8 and removed it to put w-7 on it. now, with w-7, i love my laptop.

Buyer beware, I bought one of these exact models from and authorized Asus vendor and it was a nightmare. Google camera settings and flash not working you will see this is pretty common. Not only did mine have these issues but it also had a short causing it to freeze and short out the speakers. Asus tech support was a nightmare and never even fixed it when I shipped to them. Oh, and I paid the same amount shown here so this is not a good deal IMHO.

I bought a Tablet, not a laptop. While the RT version is “lite” and was upgraded by MS to release 8.1 I am a happy camper. I use my desktop with WIN 7 and not ready to invest in an upgrade right now, but WIN 8.1 works relatively well on the RT tablet and the more I use it the more comfortable I become with this OS.

Not even Windows 8. This is RT which is great for mobile but if you are looking for a Windows experience then look elsewhere.

I have the Android version of this tab and doc- it’s great. I need the ability to use a few Windows based touch programs (from the store) so, I must be the ONE person in the world this thing was designed for! BEWARE OF THE CHARGER PORT- extra cords necessary and cheap online from China.
