I’d say that this is probably a better option than the older Thinkpads in the $400 range in this sale; the Snapdragon X SoC is quite performant and power efficient, so expect very good battery endurance.
The only downside is possible software incompatibility due to it being ARM instead of x86, but if you don’t already know of any problematic software that you’d like to run then you probably shouldn’t worry too much about it.
It doesn’t have an amazing display but it’s serviceable for the price; the RAM is soldered but with 16 GB that should suffice for a lower-midrange system; it does have a backlit keyboard.
