I bought the original and the printing faded away after 3 washings! Woot’s printing sucks!
i originally got this shirt from tee fury and i hate to say it but their shirts are way better over there. also what happened to Woot not allowing designs that have been on other sites? did they get rid of that rule?
tempted to get this version but i JUST (like just a couple of min ago) got in a new shirt from woot and i have to say the quality of the shirt is not very good, not soft instead kinda ruff and also kinda thick and not in a good way.
It depends on agreements and such.
Woot changed their contract a few years ago, so all new designs are nonexclusive. Personally, I send all my stuff to woot first and then later to other sites- some artists seem to do the opposite, but anything from the derby has not been printed anywhere else (until after the derby ends).
Mine did a little better than that, but just a little. I don’t think any woot shirts are screen printed. The iron -on transfer style graphics don’t last long.
same thing happened to mine. very disappointing as this is one of my favorite recent designs. woot doesn’t make them like they used to, i’ve got shirts a decade old and they still look great. shirts in the last few years last maybe 6 months.
I was about to comment on this, but without the actual links to the printers and stuff.
For better or worse, I learned a good bit about the shirt printing business from the old shirt.woot forums.
