Audiovox Video Message Center with Dry Erase Board

OOOH, that is so RAD!! I want to buy one so bad, but I am moving in a week and dont have a forwarding address yet…will technically be homeless for 8-30 days. dont ask, just dont, its complicated. But I want this so bad!

I just saw this on HGTV last night. They mounted it on a wall in the kitchen… it was a great idea. Divine Design!

Since it’s flat and meant to hang vertically, you’d have to spill the food using a deliberate throwing motion.

Usually I’m a resolution national-socialist-party-member, but I think I might actually prefer that this is low-res. You don’t need hi-res for video to look OK, and I feel alot better about writing with a marker on something that’s this cheap. If it was an HD-quality screen, it’d cost so much that I’d handle it with kid gloves.

I WISH I was back in college… except, I know someone would steal this.

Still, it would be sweet until then.

I always wondered if the last page google comes up with is as good as the 1st one usually is… well, I just googled this, and the last link is this: http://www.exporters.sg/showroom_item/483040/8.5---Philips-DCP850-Widescreen-Portable-DVD-Playe.html

Not even a mention of the AudioVox product… I do like however, that they have a minimum order of 7 Units, yet they only have 5 Units available. Makes sense.

Okay, I’m not really technical, but don’t those video resolutions suck? I mean, isn’t that really, really low quality? That’s like what my cell phone can do.

Why would a memo board need to be spill proof? Do you normally throw food at your walls?

I wish this had a magnet option, for putting it on the fridge door… however, those would likely erase your memory cards!

I’m definately in for one though, I will find someplace for it!

Here are some youtube video’s of this.

Actually, the $23.95 one is with out the camera. It still has the screen.

Alas, that’s the one I want. No need for the camera at work, but the screen could be handy.

Magnets don’t erase memory cards.

Deja Vu . . . I know, can’t remember where but this one is cheaper than that one was, if my memory is correct. I got one for my momma:)

Hey, Yugster just had these.

It’s presence on woot validates it as a product.

Let me know when there’s some v1 Fuzes.

Great price for a so-so neat gadget. The novelty of video memos would probably get old quick for all but the most nerdy family.

Too bad it doesn’t have wi-fi or some sort of internet capability. It’d be great if it integrated with my Google calendar or email… or if it just displayed the weather, etc.

Wonder how hackable it is.

It’s too bad you can’t make video calls or digitally replicate edible cheez doodles.

This would be more functional in my opinion if it came with some software to load a bunch of things into the calender. Sometimes, I’d rather read a date/time/event-info then hear my voice and such.

You know, when the meatballs explode!

Sure, if you don’t mind replacing it every few weeks. :stuck_out_tongue:

Regular whiteboards get stolen often enough as it is in the dorms. This would probably last a few days, tops. Still really cool, though.
