AuzenTech HDA X-Plosion 7.1 DTS/Dolby Digital PCI Sound Card

Not much resale value but a real personal value look here on froogle lowest 119 http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=AuzenTech+HDA+X-Plosion+7.1&btnG=Search+Froogle

bad biddiy … no first posts here. only detailed product reviews that can be typed in miliseconds to get on the first page. Consequently, does anyone know if this had linux drivers… i’d love 7.1 for my mythtv box…

Here’s a link to the card on the manufacturer’s site:

Does it connect to front port audio ?

The fact that it is not integrated makes it better

Not bad of a card. I still use Audigy2 ZS, but on the price side you can get one from Newegg for $115. Not great woot price wise…Yet it’s better than yesterday’s…

So extreme tech liked it. Unfortunately it’s only a 30% discount which isn’t enough to make me WOOT. Peace to all. Out.

doesn’t say anything about emulating or doing whatever it has to for EAX or EAX2. i guess thats not important to everyone but its nice to have.

too bad i’m out of pci slots :^(

Looks like it’s $115 + $5 on Newegg:

AuzenTech XPlosion 7.1 Sound Card - Retail

Can this take in normal 1/8’’ stereo jacks?

Also, this stupid captcha doesnt work. I am ceritian I am putting in the righ tletters, but it doesnt work. WONDERFUL.

Great. Then I’d need better speakers. Again!!! :frowning:

No, it’s $114.99 after $15.00 instant savings on Newegg. You’re looking at the “AuzenTech XMYSTIQUE7.1 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - Retail”, which is a different card altogether.

Very very nice. If I didn’t have a micro-atx case with a 90 watt power supply I would buy three and have dolby 21.3!

really? i only saw the xmystique for $80 on newegg.
the xplosion (the model on woot) is $115.
but the price could have changed in the last 20 seconds, who knows.

e for effort i guess, but thats it :-p

id take it if i had the money, or if it was around $50 (even if this is a good deal, i just cant justify 100 right now)

:frowning:

Just can’t do it. no EAX, OpenAL or ASIO support. What that means is: This doesn’t enhance games or music production. It’s really just for 7.1 movies and music listening.

Ohwell. Maybe a better featured soundcard next time?

I bet this will be one of those products that will never sell out… no wooter to blame this time!

anyone agree or want to challenge this thought??

marketing got you didn’t it?

reviews of this card go in depth and this is a really good card with great software i mean CHECK OUT THIS IMAGE
