Beware the picture on Amazon, woot!, and Youtube depicts the filter in the unit backwards. The black side of the filter is the pre-filter and should face outward as you take off the cover. The air gets drawn in to the black pre-filter side first. The white side of the filter should face inward. Also, the manual supports this.
