Use Wootstalker and the forums. Both refresh far faster than the front page. Start mashing F5 when it gets to 10% or less.
Meanwhile, make sure you are logged in by clicking your name in the upper right and go to “your account”. the system auto-logs you out every 30 minutes to an hour.
Finally, make sure your payment and shipping details are defaulted in the system with Amazon.
I use the forum, but as mentioned be sure to log in and have your payment stuff in order. And use the link path from the forum notice. On my Mac, linking in from the notification or from a refreshed tab loses the payment info setup.
Nice. I was stationed in Tucson and met my wife in Phoenix. Never did a lot of hiking up in Phoenix, we did walk the trails at Agua Caliente near Tucson with our GSPs quite often though.
But seriously, WootStalker + Forums is the only way to go.
Keep WootStalker up and the Forum up on with the Woot-Off tag list open (Woot-Off - Woot)
As soon as something sells out on WootStalker, refresh that forum tag list until a new item shows at the top.
If it’s boc, then click click click click
I managed to sign in through Amazon and get all the way to the cart before getting blocked by the 31 day rule. Probably could have snagged a BOC otherwise.
I saw the Woot-Off last night but have been away all day. Just sat down to the computer & opened WootStalker. Less than a minute later, the long-desired bag appeared. “I WANT ONE”, I gleefully pressed.
Only to find I wasn’t logged in.
So, quickly, I did that, and found myself in the Vestibule for a couple minutes.
Only to be notified that my credit card hadn’t been updated and they were now sold out.
Lesson: Keep your credit card updated. Crap. (…or more accurately, no crap.)
