For what it’s worth, I bought a 40% bamboo/60% polyester mattress protector (different brand) for my bed because I have a dog who occasionally thinks peeing on the bed is a good idea. She’s wrong but does she listen? Nope.

The mattress protector is incredibly soft and breathable, though the top is kind of quilted which I’m sure helps the softness. I don’t know how long it will last but I’m happy with it for now. Marketing hype or not, it works. I had been using a plastic mattress protector and that thing sucked.

Just my two cents.

These sheets are nice enough for the price.
Had I paid the original list price I would have promptly returned them. The marketing people have a very different idea of luxury than what I do.
But for $20 they are good enough!
