Barista Joe's K-Cups 100 Count: Your Choice

How much coffee is in each pod???

? Each pod is an individual serving. Do some brands have less than others? I’ve never wondered that before.

Each pod usually makes around 8oz cup of coffee. If that’s too strong or weak the good thing about Keurig is you could always add more or less water

Some brands do indeed have less coffee than others. If you don’t see something on the packaging that indicates how much coffee you get, it’s probably too little. Here are a few examples of how much coffee in in each k-cup pod based on recent purchases:

Peet’s Major Dickason Blend - 0.44 oz per cup
Starbucks Sumatra - 0.42 oz per cup
Tully’s Hawaiian - 0.40 oz per cup
Tim Horton Medium Roast - 0.37 oz per cup
Gevalia Dark Roast- 0.35 oz per cup

Many low-end brands have much less coffee than shown above and the coffee tends to be less flavorful. Peet’s is my favorite and it has the best coffee flavor, followed closely by Keurig. The amount of coffee in the pod does have a huge effect on the overall quality. To me anything below 0.39 oz per cup isn’t worth drinking. My wife, on the other hand, drinks one 6-oz. cup of weak coffee per day. She loves the Gevalia.
