Don’t get a mount with such a narrow wall plate. The forces on an articulated arm like this are very high and need to be spread out. The mount should span at least 2 studs. Don’t trust your expensive TV and priceless family to a defective design. Better mounts are available for less money.

Personal experience with this brand? The reviews, including from pro installers, are overwhelmingly positive. I understand why you bring it up, but there isn’t a single complaint about issues with the mount point.
