Price is good but This earphone is said to be new with 90 days only coverd by Woot limited warranty. Any wrong here? I suppose it comes with a year Apple warranty and it is brand new with sealed original box.

I think these were the Ear Buds that came with my HTC M8 phone way back when. They were solid headphones. I used them for many many years even after I sold off the phone. Only gripe I had was in the winter with outdoor use, when it was below freezing the inline mic would cause issues with whatever phone was plugged into it. Not sure if it was moisture freezing inside the mic, but it’d cause the phone to make the music pause quite a bit.

Never would happen above freezing though, only when it was cold.

Other then that though these took a ton of abuse and sounded pretty good if you like to hear the bass in your music.

They look uncomfortable.

Well, they ARE probably just $5 ear buds…but putting the “BEATS” logo on them increases the price, exponentially.

The only thing that Beats has going for them is their marketing. Their headphones have better sound quality than most people are used to, so most people think they are great. But if those same people sampled what is out there in terms of high-end headphones, they wouldn’t touch Beats products.

TLDNR Beats are better than most consumer grade headphones, but you can get quality high-end headphones for cheaper.

Not one to spend a lot on earbuds as they are normally just a throw away item after a few weeks/months of use. However, my wife got me a set of Bose earbuds one year and 3 years later, I still have them, and they still sound better then any buds I’ve used. I still swear by Phillips and JVC but I have used Philips HE591 Surround Sound buds so long, the silicon ear pieces got hard and started coming off in the ear (ouch). But if my bose buds started crapping out, I would replacement with the same. They stay in the ear too, which is a plus when being active.

I’ll just leave these here…

The wirecutter is pretty good at giving unbiased reviews…

The flat cord is the one aspect that makes these headphones appealing to me. I hate earbuds with thin cords—like EarPods and others in that [$20-30] price range, they never last very long.

Normally I am on the “Beats products are overpriced” bandwagon, but in this case I think the price is right—the Woot price, that is.

Honestly, don’t waste your money on these. If you want something for half the price and better sound quality, go for the Xiaomi Piston III’s. Just make sure you are ordering from a reputable seller to avoid fakes.

Interesting. What is the typical price on these? I see them on the mothership for $22.45

These are terrible, I bought a new pair from woot about 60 days ago and the left earbud went out on it…woot has sent me to apple, and apple has sent me to woot, and no one has really offered to help replace them.

I bought these on the last offering. My husband and I actually found them really comfortable, which is normally my biggest issue with earbuds. I don’t really care about sound as much as I care about the ability to wear them for more than 20 minutes.

I think you’re thinking HTC Rezound- these (or similar ear phones) were a big marketing ploy back then. Funny thing is that I bought the Rezound because of its processor and screen resolution and ended up putting these in a drawer. My 10 year old seems to like them- I’m more a headphone person. I still think that for about $20 one should be able to get a decent set of (basic) earphones, I think the name here hypes the price too much. Search in ear-headphones on Amazon and you’ll see a ton. It’s all about the Beats!

Thanks for the link.
Surprised that they did NOT rate these Beats very highly…
What up with Dre?

Beats are crap… When it comes to Sound quality… it’s really stupid that people spend that kind of money on beats… I will give it to them… They look nice… But there are so many other reasons to buy headphones…

Between $20 and $30 shipped. Wouldn’t pay any more. After a break in period, they are more than worth the price.

Beware. I ordered these a few months ago here and the “new” headphones arrived in an open box. The earbuds also came with a small gift of someone’s earwax inside them. Disgusting!
