Best salad dressing?
Ranch goes on anything like chicken wings but no way I’ll try it on a pizza
When needed, go with Greek dressing.
Hard choice. I’ve always been switching between, thousand isle, Catalina, italian, caeaser and italian. It’s to boring to stick to one for too long.
None at all
None, I usually ask for a wedge of lemon from the bar.
I prefer my salads naked.
Where’s the Catalina!?
I mean… I like Italian, but I LOVE Catalina/French…
Every time I try that… someone tells me to put some clothes on!
Ranch…
Lmao
Wedge salad - bleu cheese
Cobb Salad - ranch
Pizza / Wings - ranch
Tendies - Honey mustard
any other salad - vinagarette
I’ve been trying new vinegars for the last year.
Sometimes with oil, but sometimes not.
Honey mustard
Kewpie Deep Roasted Sesame Dressing
Has been known to turn committed carnivores into salad eaters
Caution: addictive potential - even the 64oz jug sells out on Amazon
Made by the Japanese equivalent of Hellmans / Best Foods / Dukes
and is the #1 brand there. They are super picky about food quality.
Tastes approximation: a creamy, eggy, rich, mayo like dressing with sesame and miso flavors; hint of tartness.
Ingredients: Canola oil, water, soy sauce(water, soybeans, wheat, salt), brown sugar, sesame seeds, distilled vinegar, salt, yeast extract, natural flavors, egg yolk, xanthan gum. [no carrageenan]
As a teenager, ranch went on everything, and yes, I had no problems with it on pizza.
Today, if the salad comes with a meal, it is a Vignette or Italian.
Otherwise, I don’t have salad or salad dressings. I don’t need leafy lettuce ever, and I don’t have to dress up a tasteless fork of leaves. Give me veggies well seasoned and prepared or cut up for finger food. If it needs to be a “salad,” give me a bed of spinach and throw some chicken and/or bacon.
Have you tried this “salad experience” at home first? Seems like less people to comment, but still that one person may raise eyebrows and question your sanity. That is why it is best to introduce the idea ahead of time and suggest it be a couple “salad experience.” lol
Looking for a Balsamic vinegar with some saltiness. Any suggestions? I am trying not to buy 8 oz bottles I will try and then waste. I know there are 18 year old famed brands that approach fine wine prices but am looking for much lower prices if possible. Recommendations for supermarket brands? Maybe Marzetti?
Ranch is disgusting. I don’t eat salad often, but sometimes I mix salsa in the salad after I remove the cucumbers and tomatoes
No dressings for me as a rule.
But if I feel fancy, I might go for my own, clean and simple: A spoonful of extra virgin olive oil plus a spoonful of aged balsamic vinegar. Cut in half or multiply, however much you want.
