Best Star Trek TOS Film?

NONE of the above.
I’m not a Trekkie so I just chose a random answer

Voyage Home had a strange premise. Yes, it is Star Trek and strange premise is its territory. However, it goes beyond the standard strange with Alien/Probe/Whales. Yes, all three of those words describe a floating space turd scanning Earth for a whale population.
Strange premise! However, the time travel to the “present day” was awesome. It is why so many gifs and memes capture this film!

I have not watched any of them.

As I’ve shared before, this is my license plate, so you tell me which is my favorite/is the best of the original six (though I’ve watched all six multiple multiple times).

Voyage Home? Picture of a very small part of what I presume is your car. So I’m going to go with Voyage Home. ![]()

That’s Spock’s great great great grandchild.

All of them! Some are better than others.
This discussion might be the reason for some “colorful metaphors” ![]()
Wrath of Kahn, and I don’t like Star Trek.
Haven’t seen any of these. I saw one once but I think it was new generation with the bald guy

Been a “ST” Fan since the late 60s. My Grandfather took Me to a few conventions during the 70s. Still love The Animated Series (IT’S CANON!!!), etc.
For Me, the BEST TOS Film will always be “TMP”. It’s got a weird “existential” vibe. But it’s visually beautiful. A CLASSIC Jerry Goldsmith score. And it was GREAT to see “The Gang” back together again.
But in all honesty, it’s still up to “debate” with “TWOK”. Nicholas Meyer captured the essence of growing older among the cast. And loved the way he used an old episode (“SPACE SEED”) to deal with future consequences on down the line. Focused more on Action. Exciting James Horner score too.
I did enjoy The Voyage Home most, but then I wanted the next movie to be all about Catherine Hicks’ character…
I am more interested that they messed up the dialogue boxes in today’s monkey chat.
