These are basically hot-air ovens and they get the job done. I moved up to a commercial stainless steel Wisco counter top hot-air oven after enjoying the use of one of these.

But don’t expect french fries.

I have one of these, it came defective and the fan wouldn’t spin all the time. There is a review on amazon that shows how to fix this. It is very easy to do with a screw driver and needle nose, you just have to take the fan cover off and bend the hole the shaft goes through so it has better clearance.

So can I do standard, breaded fried chicken in this, or would it burn the “breading” on the outside. Love fried chicken, but got tired of the mess with all the oil and cleanup involved. Always wondered when I saw these oil-less fryers

If you’re going to get an air fryer (and I’m not sure they’re for everyone), this is the type I’d suggest. I got a different one off of Woot last year and it has 3 issues that this one seems to solve: Inability to see the food to know if it’s done, size, and cleanup. I’d trade mine for this if I could.
