They are so stinking cute!
Will make your feet look 1-1.5 size smaller.
The design is similar to moutain climbing boots that lace all the way down to adjust for swelling.
This means they have a flexible fit for us, too.
The downside:
Birk did not use their utility rubber sole here. They went with a much softer material that will wear down quickly if in worn on concrete or asphalt. Fine with hiking in the woods or frisbee in the park.
So will possibly need a resoling sooner than regular Birks.
Also a design issue present with the back stay curving in so that it rubs (can blister) some wearers in the achilles area. May be helped with some padding, but not sure. You’d have to wear them for a while to assess your fit.
So super cute on, but maybe not for all day in any conditions.
