I like bissels. They’ve been my main vacuum before I could afford a dyson and since I got a dyson they’ve been my second vacuum so I don’t have to carry a vacuum up and down stairs. It doesn’t do as good as my dyson or my now brand new lg canister, but for an inexpensive vacuum it does very well. I buy bagless vacs because with kids and animals I’d spend a fortune in bags. The bissels are by far the easiest to empty and clean. Sure, cleaning that filter is a dirty job, but it’s also easy to do.
My wife has a similar one at work and we just couldnt pass up the deal my allergies will thank me when it comes.
It will help with allergies
I have an old style 9 with the same suction chain, it does go through the hose either way, you can avoid a clogged hose with regular filter maintainance, I simply tap the lower media filter against my fence outside to loosen the dust in the filter, which helps keep suction acceptably strong (stronger when you wash all the filters once every couple months or so of rigorous use). Otherwise hair and such will build up an obstruction in the hose because suction isn’t powerful enough to pull it through. Strong suction = no hose clogging.
