This is not a porter cable item, you keep putting it in the porter cable section.

Two things:

  1. The sale says “Porter Cable and Power Tools” This product is a power tool so it fits right in.

  2. Stanley Black and Decker owns Porter Cable and Black and Decker. So while the names are different, it’s still pretty much the same company.

I hope this clears up any confusion that has hindered your purchasing experience.

  1. I know that SBD owns Black and Decker, Dewalt, Porter cable, and several others.

  2. If you’re going to call the group of items Porter cable make sure only Porter Cable items are in the group.

If the batteries were interchangeable I would agree with you, but they aren’t.

The sale is named Porter Cable & Power Tools – so it’s not just P-C tools.

Also P-C 20V batteries share the same pinout as B&D 20V batteries, just notched differently. It’s possible to be able to use one in another by strategically trimming some plastic. BTDT; I use a P-C battery on my B&D lawn tools.
