mine arrived today and it sounds like there is a loose screw or small object in the bottom of the heater. not visible and sounds like it’s confined to the base area so not sure if I should return it 
I’d email CS and at least ask for a replacment. It’s free to ask.
Could be something broken inside, so why bother with it?
I think that is part of the tip over safety.
