Pretty good deal according to Froogle. These things really do save you a lot of time and effort if you don’t mind the cost.

poolba! nice… don’t need …but nice!

I see Woot is branching off from the Roomba.

Next Woot’ll be lawnmowers, then?

I wonder if the fish finder over at sellout would detect this? Perhaps I should get both… hmm, that’s a tough one!

I much prefer my current cleaning unit. It’s powered by the pool’s filtration system, and thus operates without electrical wires. Pump-driven systems are the way to go.

Already have one.

This is almost as exciting as the Invicta watch!

What I really need is a roomba. Wonder when woot will ever sell a roomba…

Will it clean my 125 Gallon Salt water fish tank?

Great Item. I have a pool, just can’t afford the water this year :frowning:

I know someone who designs these things for a living with a real live engineering firm, and she’s never heard of this brand. If you’re gonna shell out for something like this, get an iRobot or an Aquabot. My sleep-deprived two cents…

EDIT: On Amazon, both iRobot and Aquabot come in cheaper prices, too. Down from quite a bit, though. So it’s something to consider. I feel like I’m babbling. Am I babbling? Time for sleep.

I have neither $500 for this, nor a pool. Guess I’ll go check out today’s shirt.

What an odd product for woot.

Anyway, I saw someone asked earlier. This model runs off of electricity - which seems counter intuitive for something you put in a large body of water. However, this should let you run it pretty much anywhere so long as you have a power supply.

If jpstings was being serious, it will suck up all the sand and whatnot. I think this is over kill for what you want since it might not even be able to turn around.

In my pool, the pool skimmer hooks up directly to the filtration system. I have the old “creepy crawly” type. The electricity comes into play from the pool pump circulating water, rather than the unit powering itself.

Time to get a pool

It’s so refreshing when Woot offers an item with such broad interest at such a low discount price. I just hope that inventory can keep up with the orders.

I’d be in for one. At HALF this price. This is only 95 bucks cheaper than walmart… but other sites have a 4 year total warranty… this one is listed as only a one year. With the reviews I’m reading elsewhere, I won’t trust a one year warranty. These things regularly require various fixes. I have a pool but think I’d go another couple hundred to get a more recognized name from ebay with a lot more warranty.

hmmmm. These two people seem to indicate after one year it broke. Looking for anyone who is happy after one year and has a review.

The ocean is my swimming pool. Will it clean that?

The profit margin is probably very nice on items like this. If you’re not a fan, then go somewhere else. In capitalism you vote with your dollar.

is this recommended for fiberglass pools?
