I love many of these designs. but what bothers me is the patent like numbers with no notation. It makes it look like someone enlarged a scan of the page they copied in the library. [Yes, I know these are fake, but hey still has same idea]
It would IMHO be a much stronger piece of art to me [and worth more price] if it included in a footnote below what each number represents in their fake patent filing.
Saying all that, really, really interested in the wright flyer. Might jump in on that one.
I really like several of these, very cool. However, the price is a bit too high for this IMHO. I would pay $10-15 for the print and buy my own frame for $10-15 and be done with it. These prices seem excessive to me. I’ll bookmark the artist and keep an eye out for a good deal on these in the future.
Heh. ok so some of them really are a photocopy? Ouch. [Edit: ok not exact photocopy, but an interpretation of the original. some stuff moved around. My point stands. ]
but your link - That is exactly what I was hoping it would look like. If these came in that format it would be perfect.

They are art/drawings using real patents as a reference.
All of our art pieces are based on real patent applications for real inventions, so the numbers you see indeed represent the actual patent application from back in the day.
We create these pieces to highlight the beauty of the patent art illustrations. It’s interesting to hear that you would like to see more text added as well. We’ll keep that in mind.
Feel free to let us know if you have any other suggestions.
Triddo? (Also as in I’d be in for three of the designs - my father would be ecstatic to get the revolver print as a gift, the Apple and Porsche would find a wall here. But too pricey for the size/quality.)

Thanks for replying [always love to see the representative respond!]. Yes, I would definitely be interested in ones where they have the description text added as a separate panel or a footnote.
and thanks for the clarification of the design process.
I’m tempted to get my engineer brother one of these as a gift, but I’m not sure which one he would prefer. Maybe one of the plane ones or the Golden Gate bridge.
I couldn’t find the plane that was developed from this patent. I did find the graphic and part of the patent application here: USD146240S - Design for an airplane - Google Patents. It’s a curtiss/curtiss-wright design.
