Absolutely a must for beginner to intermediate snowboarder. You are definitely going to do a back slap and conk your head. I learned to snowboard early 90’s when helmets weren’t popular , wish they were I had some tremendous headaches and even a concusion my first year. I don’t go out without one now. the previous poster is right they keep your head warmer and much better than hats.
